Chartered Clinical Psychologist

Natasha Prescott

Dr Prescott is a chartered Clinical Psychologist. She has worked in a variety of settings within the NHS for over a decade, including currently at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Natasha provides specialist input into IPC’s Child and Adolescent, Gender, Physical Health, EMDR and Adult Mental Health clinics. She works with clients across the life span (children, adolescents and their families, adults and older adults) and is experienced at helping people manage low mood, stress and anxiety, as well as traumatic experiences, including historical abuse.

Through family focused interventions, Natasha often works with behavioural and emotional difficulties in children. She has been part of a school’s outreach team and has an interest in working with people who have experienced discrimination, stigma and issues related to identity and gender. Natasha has experience of working in various areas of physical health, including cardio-respiratory medicine, critical care and with children with neuro-developmental difficulties. She is also experienced in working with people with physical symptoms for which there is sometimes no immediate obvious cause, yet which remain distressing.

Natasha takes a flexible and collaborative approach to tailor assessments and interventions to the unique situation and needs of each person, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, including systemic, narrative, psychodynamic and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT).

In addition to working directly with individuals and families seeking psychotherapeutic support, Natasha has experience of working with teams and organisations processing the impact of change, a crisis and/or trauma.
