Clinical Psychologist

Celia, psychologist

Dr Celia Sadie is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and organisational consultant, and has been working therapeutically for nearly 25 years with adolescents, adults and families. She is trained in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and EMDR, among other therapies, and has a particular specialism in working with trauma. Celia is chartered by the British Psychological Society and is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Celia has worked in NHS, educational and forensic settings throughout her career and now works full-time in private practice. She offers assessments (including cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments), consultation and time-limited therapeutic work as well as long-term therapy. Much of her work has been with adolescents and their parents, and with individuals and families struggling with life transitions, relationships, issues of identity, and difficult past experiences. Celia takes a carefully personalised and integrated approach to her work, bringing together the key elements of the evidence-based therapies in which she is trained to address the particular issues brought by each client.

Celia has published articles and chapters about her work with adolescents and in forensic settings, and lectures and teaches in the field. She has recently qualified as an organisational consultant, working with teams and organisations to help them develop or to address difficulties in culture and relationships.
