Anastassis Spiliadis, BA, Msc, MBPsP

Anastassis is a senior Systemic and Family Psychotherapist offering psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families.  Having lived in Greece, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and being fluent in English, Greek and German, Anastassis is experienced in working with families from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Alongside IPC, Anastassis works as a Senior Systemic and Family Therapist in The Maudsley Centre for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders, supporting young people and their families struggling with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and ARFID. He facilitates individual, family, multi-family sessions and parents’ groups.

Anastassis has a background in psychology, organizational management and communication. He has an MSc and a Graduate Certificate (with Distinction) in Systemic and Family Therapy from The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience at The Maudsley, Kings College London. He has completed a further postgraduate qualification in Family Therapy Supervision, Consultation, and Training at the Tavistock Centre in London.

Anastassis supervises qualified and trainee clinicians, facilitates assessment and treatment sessions and trains professionals from several different disciplines across the UK. He enjoys presenting at national and international conferences, is engaged with ongoing research, and is a visiting lecturer and clinical supervisor at The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London.

Physical Health

Anastassis works with patients with a range of health issues, including hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, eating disorders including anorexia nervosa and bulimia, gender dysphoria and life cycle transitions. 

Emotional and Mental Health

Anastassis is skilled in working with a wide variety of psychological and psychiatric difficulties and is flexible in adapting his approach according to each person or family. He is experienced in facilitating individual, couple and family therapy sessions. His aim is to support individuals and families to enhance communication, explore meaning, overcome impasses, and bring about positive changes in their lives.
