Emotional and Mental Health

Finella works with children, young people and adults who present with a wide range of difficulties, including relationship, emotional, physical and mental health difficulties, which impact not only on the individual concerned, but also on their family and other relationships. Finella understands that some situations can be highly charged and family members can understandably feel very distressed and find their circumstances or relationships difficult and challenging. Finella always aims to work in ways that are flexible, collaborative and respectful and that meet the needs of the individuals, couples or families with whom she is working.

Finella also has extensive experience in working with patients who present with a combination of physical health and psychological problems, including medically unexplained physical symptoms.

Support to Parents and Networks

Finella has significant experience of offering family based interventions for children, young people and adults who have an eating disorder and with families and couples where a family member is on the autistic spectrum. Finella is also experienced in working with young people with gender dysphoria and their families. Additionally, Finella has expertise in working with couples, including separated and divorced parents, who are struggling with unresolved difficulties or conflict.
