Dr Anna Galloway
Clinical Psychologist
Dr Anna Galloway is a Clinical Psychologist. She has worked within the NHS for over 10 years, specialising in working with those with physical and/or mental health issues in leading hospitals, including UCLH, The Royal Marsden and most recently Great Ormond Street Hospital. She is now working exclusively in private practice. She is Clinical Manager for IPC and lead for our Perinatal & Women’s Health Service.
Anna has special interests in adolescent and adult mental health, physical health and trauma, contributing to IPC’s Child and Adolescent, Adult Mental Health, Physical Health and Perinatal clinics. She works with clients from across the life span including individuals, couples and families. In the perinatal service Anna works with women pre- and post-natally, including those experiencing fertility challenges, complications in pregnancy and birth trauma. She also helps adolescents and adults experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, stress, low mood, trauma, self-esteem issues, interpersonal and relationship difficulties. She supports children and adults with difficulties relating to their physical health, including symptom management (pain and fatigue), managing medical procedures and the impact of physical health on quality of life. She is also experienced in working with those who have a poor health prognosis and in bereavement work.
Anna draws on a range of therapeutic approaches in her work including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Systemic, Narrative and Psychodynamic therapies. She provides both short- and long-term therapy, taking a flexible and integrative approach to tailor assessments and interventions to the needs of each client.
